Gamja bawae is a bibimbap restaurant in yu-gang dong.
They serve a variety of different bibimbap dishes, including albap (fish roe rice, picture below), gondeurae (Korean thistle) and standard bibimbap with a fried egg. They also do a really hearty kimchi jigae that has quite a lot of meat in it, especially for W 5000. One of the restaurant’s specialty dishes is a potato pancake (see the 2/3 eaten one below) which is really good; it reminds me of a large potato scone from the UK.
This is a highly recommended lunch spot because it is great food at food court prices. In fact, we often have work lunches here.
